On our tows: Hobbs & Shaw
Updated: Mar 17, 2020
We always aim to provide the best possible service to our customers no matter who they are or what the circumstances. But every now and then we get a job that requires a little extra time and focus. These jobs may be slightly more challenging than our routine tows, but they're also the most rewarding.
As part of this blog, every so often we'll share a few stories of the challenging yet rewarding jobs that kept us on our tows.
Timing is key
If you saw the movie Hobbs & Shaw back in 2019, it's hard to imagine that The Rock's custom-made 1966 Peterbilt tow truck would ever find itself needing a tow. One of the most memorable scenes in the movie is the scene in which Shaw (Jason Statham) is maneuvering the truck in mid air after Hobbs (The Rock) lassoed the winch chain onto the pylon of a Blackhawk helicopter.
But even The Rock's tow truck needs a tow every once in a while. Or at least, it needs to be delivered to set. Either way, we were lucky enough to get the call.
"Our main challenge with this particular tow was working out the timing of the delivery. Typically when a customer calls and asks me to deliver their car to a repair shop by 9 a.m., I'll start heading to the customer at 7:30 to be sure I get there early enough to hook up the car, make it through traffic and deliver the car on time. But when The Rock needs his truck to be delivered to set by 9 a.m., you best believe I was heading there at 5:30 a.m.!"
